This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, maintain, and oversee comprehensive project schedules throughout all stages of project implementation.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to collect schedule data and keep schedules updated.
• Recognize scheduling challenges and formulate mitigation strategies.
• Communicate schedule modifications and updates to project teams and stakeholders.
• Utilize scheduling software to design and manage project timelines.
• Prepare frequent schedule status reports that highlight deviations or risks.
• Analyze schedules to pinpoint trends and areas for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to organizational scheduling policies and procedures.
• Set up Microsoft Project projects, including defining start dates, calendars, and working hours.
• Create, organize, and link tasks while considering dependencies, constraints, deadlines, and milestones.
• Define, categorize, and allocate resources while managing resource availability.
• Implement effort-driven scheduling and Critical Path Method (CPM), encompassing primary, secondary, and tertiary critical paths.
• Address resource overallocations using Resource Graph, Resource Usage, and leveling techniques.
• Establish and manage baselines for tracking progress.
• Update task and project progress based on actual data.
• Conduct variance analysis by comparing baselines with actual outcomes.
• Customize and save user-defined views in Microsoft Project, such as Gantt Chart, Task Usage, Resource Sheet, and Network Diagram.
• Share and export project plans through publishing and Microsoft Office integration.
• Collaborate with project leadership within a cross-functional team environment to manage project schedules.
• One of the following: High School diploma/GED with 10 years of experience; associate degree with 8 years; bachelor’s degree with 6 years; or a master’s degree with 4 years.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while working both entrepreneurially and collaboratively.
• Proficient in scheduling software, preferably Microsoft Project.
• Experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office applications, and Office-Project integration.
• Understanding of critical path methodology for timely delivery of milestones.
• Knowledge of earned value management (EVM).
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance; an existing clearance is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of effort-driven scheduling, baselines, resource leveling, variance analysis, and Microsoft Project views and reports.
• Some experience with Project Online or Project Server is a plus.
