This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Assume responsibility from Sales and Sales Engineering and facilitate kick-off meetings.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the integrator customer during the entire project lifecycle.
• Work collaboratively to develop material schedules aligned with the customer’s timeline.
• Proactively communicate progress, challenges, and proposed solutions to the customer and internal stakeholders throughout all project stages.
• Assist in developing the project budget with support from management.
• Issue purchase orders for locally sourced products, equipment, and services.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering and Supply Chain on transport planning.
• Confirm building specifications during the initial site survey.
• Present the project plan to the end customer and integrator.
• Create project schedules.
• Secure installation contractors and provide them with instructions and drawings.
• Initiate change orders as necessary.
• Begin customer invoicing at significant milestones in SAP.
• Monitor project expenditures.
• Identify project risks or uncertainties, escalate issues to relevant project stakeholders, and take corrective actions to remain on schedule.
• Take responsibility for the automation installation, supported by a lead commissioning engineer.
• Collaborate with a stow US Racking Project Manager to ensure racking is installed on time and meets the required automation specifications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a directly related role.
• Proven experience managing the complexities of executing multimillion-dollar custom warehouse systems projects from start to finish is essential.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• PMP certification is advantageous but not required.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Willingness to travel across North America to customer sites, approximately 30-75% of the year, depending on the project phase.
• Regular travel to our office in Romeoville to collaborate closely with Engineering and Management (20-30% based on project travel needs).
• There may also be occasional travel to our headquarters in Belgium (likely once a year for no more than 2 weeks).
