Project Manager – Hydropower

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete lifecycle management of hydropower projects, from initial planning to commissioning.

• Create and manage project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor capital investments.

• Track project performance to ensure it meets financial and strategic goals.

• Implement project controls and reporting systems to manage costs, schedules, and project scope.

• Supervise procurement processes, including sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating contracts.

• Ensure compliance with contracts and manage vendor relationships to guarantee timely delivery.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as regulators, communities, and contractors.

• Serve as a liaison between departments to foster collaboration and alignment of project objectives.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality protocols, and regulatory mandates.

• Create comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts.

• Maintain precise records, digital files, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Represent the project in executive presentations, regulatory discussions, and community meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related discipline (master’s degree preferred).

• Over 5 years of project management experience, including at least 3 years in hydropower or renewable energy.

• PMP or a similar certification is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, procurement, safety protocols, and stakeholder engagement.

• Proficient in project management software and methodologies.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license for necessary travel.

• Willingness to travel up to 75%, primarily by driving.

• Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
