Project Manager – Government Software Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete delivery process of enterprise software implementation projects from initiation to production deployment and stabilization.

• Develop and sustain integrated delivery plans, schedules, and milestones that are aligned with contractual obligations and program goals.

• Coordinate efforts among cross-functional teams, including software engineering, data engineering, QA, DevOps, security, and business stakeholders.

• Manage execution across Agile, Hybrid Agile, and traditional delivery frameworks based on client needs.

• Facilitate Agile delivery methodologies such as sprint planning, backlog prioritization, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Ensure synchronization between the Agile development pace and contractual milestone commitments.

• Drive effective backlog management and release planning.

• Lead and mentor functional managers, delivery leads, and cross-functional teams.

• Cultivate a robust delivery culture centered on accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

• Encourage collaboration among teams distributed across various geographical locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience on the vendor side leading intricate software implementation or digital transformation initiatives.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

• Proven track record in delivering enterprise software systems or cloud platforms within a solution or systems integration context.

• Experience in managing technology programs within government or public sector environments (state, federal, or local).

• Demonstrated capability to oversee large, geographically dispersed, cross-functional delivery teams, including engineering, product, and operations.

• Strong experience in managing project budgets, delivery timelines, and contractual obligations.

• Familiarity with Agile and Hybrid Agile delivery models.

• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management abilities.
