• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to prepare and submit grant applications to federal, state, and local agencies.
• Oversee existing grants from the Department of Energy (DOE).
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and funding requirements throughout the entire grant lifecycle.
• Meticulously document all grant-related activities, including application submissions, approvals, expenditures, and reports.
• Review grant budgets to guarantee that funds are allocated according to grant guidelines.
• Generate regular communications and status updates as required for various audiences.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in writing federal grant applications and administration, particularly with the Department of Energy (DOE), is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal grant application regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Solid understanding of project and program management methodologies and techniques.
• Previous experience in fostering strong relationships with academic institutions regarding grant proposals.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to create presentations and status updates on a variety of topics, with the ability to adapt communication style and output based on audience and associated requirements.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Previous experience using project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.) is required.
• Experience with environmental projects is a plus.
