This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the coordination and delivery of engineering and product initiatives across Surt. This position is focused on ownership of delivery rather than merely reporting status. You will be the key individual responsible for maintaining the momentum of complex, multi-faceted projects, identifying blockers before they escalate into issues, and providing the team with the necessary structure to deliver efficiently.
• You will act as a liaison between leadership and engineering, translating strategic objectives into organized execution while keeping leadership informed about on-the-ground realities. In our company culture, where individuals manage multiple responsibilities, you will ensure all connections are maintained.
• Product stability and readiness: You will be accountable for the overall health of your assigned products from start to finish, monitoring unresolved issues, coordinating their resolution across teams, and ensuring that each product is prepared for growth, scalability, and reliability for clients.
• Sprint planning and execution: You will lead planning, refinement, and retrospective sessions across engineering teams, ensuring that work remains scoped, sequenced, and continuously progressing.
• Roadmap coordination: You will track advancements across various products and workstreams, proactively identifying risks and dependencies.
• Cross-functional alignment: You will connect engineering, product, design, legal, and QA teams to facilitate decision-making and prevent work from stalling between departments.
• Release coordination: You will manage the logistics of release cycles, ensuring that all involved parties are prepared before any product is launched.
• Process and tooling: You will enhance and maintain the team's operational methods, including Jira workflows, documentation standards, sprint metrics, and delivery rituals.
• Stakeholder visibility: You will keep leadership updated on progress, risks, and decisions while minimizing overhead for the team executing the work.
• Demonstrated experience managing software engineering deliveries in a dynamic environment: You understand how to keep a team delivering without becoming a bottleneck.
• Strong organizational skills: You think in terms of dependencies, risks, and sequences, and you can identify gaps before others do.
• Comfort working with technical and non-technical stakeholders: You don’t need to write code, but you must possess enough understanding to engage in meaningful discussions with engineers. Equally important is recognizing when to involve the Tech Lead or the team instead of making decisions outside your purview. Support for complex technical and architectural inquiries is available.
• A focus on clarity: You convert ambiguous scenarios into clear next steps and document processes so that others do not need to seek clarification.
• Autonomy: You take charge of issues and drive them to resolution without waiting for direction.
• Familiarity with compliance or regulated environments is advantageous but not essential.
• A role with significant ownership that provides direct access to leadership and genuine influence over our development processes.
• An opportunity to be part of the strategic discussions, rather than just a coordination layer.
• A team that prioritizes clear thinking, effective processes, and individuals who simplify tasks for those around them.
• Competitive salary with opportunities for personal and professional growth within the company.
• Based in our Monterrey office, with hybrid work options available for candidates residing in the region.
