This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee financial reporting and project closures in line with US GAAP standards.
• Provide comprehensive financial leadership for projects – analyze contracts to understand key deliverables, terms, cash milestones, payment terms, as well as foreign exchange and tax implications; manage budget handover and allocation; ensure project reviews accurately reflect financial status and work towards exceeding the as-sold project financials.
• Collaborate with the Project Team to assess execution performance and recommend action plans to enhance contract margins and cash profiles, along with corrective measures to address identified risks.
• Guide and assist the Project team in resolving complex issues that arise during project execution, ensuring optimal financial outcomes for GE.
• Maintain connections with the Region/HQ FP&A team to ensure any deviations from the Plan are promptly reflected in the weekly QMIs.
• Validate project accounting entries and ensure they are accurately recorded in the appropriate ledgers.
• Liaise with the tax team to comprehend local tax implications.
• Responsible for reviewing and approving the project trial balance, ensuring all necessary documentation is available for both internal and external audit requirements.
• Engage in cross-functional projects to promote LEAN practices and standardization of processes.
• Foster strong collaboration with FP&A to develop estimates, plans, forecasts, and reviews.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in finance or accounting.
• Previous experience in Project Finance Management.
• Significant experience in Finance or Accounting, with supply chain finance experience being advantageous and/or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with knowledge of Oracle and/or SAP being a plus.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive attitude towards owning problems and areas of responsibility.
• Capable of managing large databases and generating reports from ERP systems, with Oracle experience being beneficial.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
• Ability to operate under tight deadlines and prioritize effectively under pressure.
• High organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Effective skills in identifying problems and proposing solutions.
• Demonstrated analytical and organizational capabilities.
• Comfortable working with remote stakeholders.
