
Project Executive – Commercial Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Oversee all members of the project team across potentially numerous projects and geographical areas.
• Advocate for project safety and risk management protocols.
• Mentor and provide training for Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Manage financial aspects of the project and communicate updates to leadership.
• Update the Vice President regarding employee development and performance-related matters.
• Interpret contract stipulations and address risks and business challenges.
• Lead the creation of subcontract and purchase order documents.
• Coordinate the development of project schedules and workflows to achieve energy savings targets.
• Monitor and oversee the resolution of change management issues.
• Oversee progress billings, including issuing, negotiating, and collecting payments.
• Ensure accurate monthly reporting and facilitate monthly project meetings.
• Verify financial forecasts for the project.
• Manage and mitigate project risk issues.
• Act as a primary client contact and project leader.
• Ensure project completion aligns with energy and financial objectives.
• Build and sustain relationships with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
• Implement company policies and procedures within projects.
• Engage in industry and community events.
• Promote ethical and professional conduct within the team.
• At least 8-10 years of documented experience in large commercial construction projects ($20M+).
• Experience in sectors such as higher education, healthcare, advanced technology, life sciences, office buildings, or similar commercial construction domains.
• Design-build experience is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field along with applicable field experience in the company’s core areas.
• Strong leadership abilities and a readiness to tackle challenges, resolve issues, and motivate team members while fostering relationships.
• Capability to manage complex situations that involve ambiguity and conflict resolution.
• Ability to prioritize safety, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
• Experience with pull planning and the Last Planner System.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with project management software such as Procore or equivalent.
• Proficient in scheduling software like Primavera or similar platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of the industry landscape and the company's competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform tasks beyond the primary job scope when required.
• Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time to job sites or office locations.
• Capability to climb stairs and remain in a stationary position, whether standing or sitting, for extended periods.
• Ability to perform light physical work, including moving objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
