Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Execute software installations and configure laboratory systems, integrating software into the laboratory workflow.

• Lead LIS implementation projects.

• Collaborate with the project manager, adhering to their guidance and planning.

• Propose solutions and identify technical risks, communicating these to the project manager.

• Prepare necessary actions and relevant documentation as needed.

• Ensure your work is thoroughly and promptly documented in MIA.

• Complete assigned project tasks in accordance with the project plan and budget, ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Assume full responsibility for all technical aspects of your assigned tasks.

• Keep the project manager updated on the status of your tasks.

• Travel to client sites to provide on-site support during project implementation.

• Manage and execute small projects or sub-projects.

• Conduct training sessions for customers.

• Serve as the internal and external liaison between the customer and the development department.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.

• Alternatively, possess IT Technical training and experience in medical laboratory processes.

• Proven experience in implementing laboratory information systems.

• Familiarity with laboratory processes and organization.

• Knowledge of common IT applications.

• Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).

• Understanding of healthcare communication standards such as HL7, ASTM, IHE, etc.

• Proficiency in operating systems, networking, and virtualization.

• Fluency in Dutch, French, and English.

• This position requires a working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and the ability to utilize them for process and outcome improvements.
