Project Buyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Create bid packages

• Submit Requests for Quote (RFQs)

• Assess commercial proposals

• Issue purchase orders

• Accelerate vendor data and equipment for various projects

• Analyze project scopes, statements of work, and project timelines

• Formulate procurement strategies for goods and services that support projects

• Manage and implement contracts

• Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and contractors

• Guide and mentor less experienced Procurement Team members

• Conduct work under general supervision

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred

• At least 5 years of relevant industrial experience in Supply Chain Management, particularly in Project Procurement

• Familiarity with large-scale industrial projects, such as chemical, refining, pulp and paper, power, and manufacturing

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to execute contracts effectively

• Comprehensive understanding of contract language as well as commercial terms and conditions

• Knowledgeable in contract law and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC)

• Proficient in negotiating contract terms with suppliers and contractors

• Familiarity with International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS)

• Understanding of payment terms

• Skilled in SAP, Ariba, or other ERP software

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• High attention to detail

• Capability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
