Programmer Analyst II – Clinical Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Execute programming tasks as directed by study project team leaders, which includes independently developing, executing, maintaining, and validating programs that facilitate data transfer across various data management systems or operating systems. This involves merging data from multiple sources and structures, producing and archiving summary data from diverse origins, generating reports, or integrating multiple databases, as well as validating programs that create listings, tables, and figures using SAS and standard methodologies.

• Prepare and analyze clinical trial patient datasets, including laboratory data, vital signs data, tumor response data, imaging data, quality of life and well-being questionnaire data, and adverse events data, for the purposes of clinical research.

• Collaborate with researchers and multidisciplinary project teams to assess issues and propose technology-driven solutions and computational strategies for the assigned project.

• Create customized code to leverage existing tools and applications to generate outputs or verify outputs for clinical bioinformatics or technical applications.

• Serve as the programming lead on studies of simple to moderate complexity, ensuring the completion of lead tasks and responsibilities.

• Proactively seek information to gain a comprehensive understanding of the lead programmer's role in the overall process and may serve as the lead programmer on simple to moderately complex projects under close supervision.

• Ensure compliance with departmental operating procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs), contributing to the development of informal training materials.

• Enhance knowledge and professional skills in areas such as programming, technology and techniques, clinical trials, and the pharmaceutical industry by closely collaborating with mentors, attending presentation and teaching events, and aiding in the development of other departmental documents and policies by assisting mentors in implementing best practice materials and publications.

⛳️ Requirements

• MS/MA degree in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience that equips the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the role; or a Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or a related field or equivalent formal academic/vocational qualification, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the job.
