Programme Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee multiple simultaneous AI transformation initiatives, responsible for results throughout the entire delivery lifecycle.

• Serve as the primary contact for clients, managing high-level relationships, Programme Boards, and handling escalations.

• Take ownership of programme governance, integrated planning, reporting, and assurance frameworks.

• Drive programme-level change management and strategies for organizational adoption.

• Administer programme budgets, manage commercial change controls, and conduct financial forecasting.

• Lead benefits realization frameworks, which include defining, baselining, tracking, and evidencing outcomes.

• Supervise cross-project risk, issues, and dependency management.

• Ensure AI solutions are implemented in accordance with public sector standards for governance, ethics, and responsible AI usage.

• Assist the Director of Delivery in the ongoing enhancement of programme management standards across ICS.AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7–10 years in project and programme delivery positions.

• Proven track record in leading complex, multi-project transformation initiatives.

• Experience working within public sector or local government settings.

• PRINCE2 Foundation certification required.

• Demonstrated ability in managing programme budgets, risk, and engaging with senior stakeholders.

• Competence in engaging with AI concepts and effectively communicating them to non-technical audiences.

• PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP (Managing Successful Programmes), or ITIL Foundation certification is desirable.

• Familiarity with AI, data platforms, automation, or intelligent digital services is preferred.

• Knowledge of Generative AI concepts and their applicability in public sector contexts is advantageous.

• Experience in governing emerging technologies within regulated or risk-aware settings is a plus.
