Program Manager – Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of client projects, encompassing P&L comprehension, contract scope, forecasting, and margin enhancement.

• Create and sustain strategic account plans spanning 12 to 24 months.

• Foster executive relationships with National Accounts and facilitate strategic planning meetings.

• Oversee the execution across Shermco divisions, branches, and service teams.

• Conduct internal coordination meetings and resolve operational conflicts between branches.

• Track project financial performance, manage change orders, and identify margin risks.

• Analyze contracts, manage scope, and lead the RFI and change management processes.

• Maintain program risk registers and perform monthly risk assessments.

• Advocate for operational standards regarding safety, estimating, project controls, and documentation.

• Act as the primary client liaison and lead Executive Business Reviews.

• Direct cross-functional teams comprising technicians, engineers, and subcontractors.

• Initiate project kickoffs, enhance execution quality, and uphold documentation and turnover standards.

• Identify opportunities for service expansion and aid in strategies for capturing large capital projects.

• Present project performance, risks, forecasts, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership.

• Engage in post-project evaluations and lessons-learned discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in program or project management, preferably managing a national account across various locations.

• Background in electrical construction, NETA testing, electrical commissioning, engineering services, industrial field services, power systems services, electrical infrastructure, or a comparable technical field.

• Proficiency in medium- and low-voltage electrical systems or a related technical area.

• Proven financial literacy with the ability to interpret project financials effectively.

• Experience supervising large programs or projects valued over $1 million.

• Established ability to coordinate operations across multiple sites or branches.

• Excellent executive communication skills and stakeholder management expertise.

• Strong financial insight, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin oversight.

• Experience in interpreting contracts and managing change orders.

• Demonstrated capability to lead large field teams and multidisciplinary resources.

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.

• PMP certification or formal project management training is preferred.

• Experience in utility, industrial, data center, or mission-critical environments is preferred.

• Proven experience in managing enterprise-level customer relationships is preferred.
