This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ Identify risks associated with language, such as ambiguous vehicle specifications, financing terms, tone discrepancies, bias, and inclusivity, and implement preventive measures across all NSC touchpoints.
β’ Create metrics and dashboards to monitor language quality and translation turnaround times.
β’ Foster continuous improvement by conducting audits, establishing feedback loops, and maintaining linguistic resources, including glossaries, style guides, and term bases pertinent to automotive sales, financing, insurance, and aftersales.
β’ Validate new and modified technical terminology.
β’ Propose enhancements to the existing terminology.
β’ Address email inquiries regarding terminology.
β’ Assess translations and evaluate translation service providers.
β’ Serve as the coordinator for Language Champions and the single point of contact for other business areas and AG.
β’ Plan capacity for additional Language Champions.
β’ Proficient in English, with a preference for some knowledge of German.
β’ Proven expertise in plain language, readability, tone, and development of brand voice.
β’ Experience with technical or product copy and financial disclosures is advantageous.
β’ Background in leading and coordinating a team.
β’ Moderate understanding of vehicle technology and aftermarket processes.
β’ Familiarity with AI-assisted writing tools and language automation in a sales/retail context, including workflows related to financial content.
β’ Proficient in Office suite, JIRA, Confluence, and Salesforce.
β’ Ability to relate to and meet critical deadlines, which can sometimes be short.
β’ Detail-oriented mindset.
β’ Strong networking skills.
β’ Capable of problem-solving and critical thinking.
β’ Remote work option available (can be fully remote, with a preference for CET hours).
