This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and manage employer partnerships, guiding industry collaborators in the creation and implementation of innovative Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) programs.
• Lead projects within designated portfolio areas, including: Innovative WIL pilot initiatives with TECHNATION members, DEI-focused workforce development programs, Sector-specific WIL opportunities (e.g., AI, cybersecurity, health tech, DEI, etc.), Employer networking and capacity-building workshops.
• Serve as a workforce advisor to employers, assisting them with recruitment, student placements, and program funding navigation.
• Identify new employer prospects and engagement opportunities, enhancing program participation and industry outreach.
• Collaborate with post-secondary institutions and community organizations to strengthen talent pipelines.
• Represent TECHNATION at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings, serving as an ambassador for the Career Ready program.
• Engage with post-secondary institutions, industry associations, community partners, and workforce organizations to advocate for TECHNATION’s Career Ready Program.
• Develop and implement outreach strategies customized to assigned portfolio areas, ensuring robust engagement from employers and students.
• Host and participate in employer information sessions, networking events, and industry roundtables to enhance program visibility.
• Collaborate with the Events team to ensure strong employer engagement in WIL-related activities, such as student challenges, career fairs, and thought leadership panels.
• Assist with funding applications and sustainability initiatives, providing insights on employer and student requirements.
• Deliver high-quality support to employers and post-secondary institutions navigating the Career Ready program.
• Review and approve funding applications, ensuring compliance with program guidelines and eligibility criteria.
• Gather and analyze data regarding employer engagement, student placements, and program effectiveness, utilizing insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, education, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in program coordination or project support, ideally within the non-profit or educational sectors.
• Strong public speaking and presentation abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience collaborating with employers and/or community partners.
• Proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, Teams, etc.).
• Proven ability to work effectively both collaboratively within a team and independently as needed.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
• Capacity to adjust to changing priorities and demonstrate problem-solving capabilities.
