Professional Learning Curriculum Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Develop, modify, facilitate, and continuously enhance research-driven professional learning materials and instructional resources for educators working with multilingual learners.

• Recommend and implement practice-oriented and evidence-supported approaches to professional development.

• Facilitate engaging learning sessions for diverse groups.

• Collaborate across teams to ensure the quality, accuracy, and relevance of professional learning programs.

• Contribute content for professional learning across virtual, in-person, and self-paced workshops, as well as educator instructional resources.

• Support Spanish-speaking educators and deliver professional learning in both English and Spanish.

• Act as a subject matter expert for initiatives focused on Spanish-language professional development.

• Travel up to 20% of the time.

• Engage in strategic planning and grant writing for instructional development, teaching methods, and program direction.

• Create teaching strategies and train staff in their implementation.

• Design or develop curriculum and instructional strategies.

• Help define program objectives and execute program responsibilities.

• Evaluate learner performance and prepare reports suggesting instructional enhancements.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the US serving multilingual learners in PreK-12 settings.

• Bilingual/biliterate in Spanish.

• Experience in developing and facilitating professional learning for multilingual learners in both English and Spanish.

• Proven ability to create materials and resources that support educator professional development.

• Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

• Knowledge of andragogy and adult learning theories.

• Experience in collaborating, co-planning, and co-facilitating with other staff members.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills when interacting with colleagues and supervisors.

• Excellent organizational capabilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage workload to meet deadlines and expectations.

• Experience in implementing ELD/SLD standards and resources, and discussing their relevance to educational practices in PreK-12 environments.

• A Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree in education or a related field is required.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

• Must reside within 90 miles of a major US metropolitan airport.

• Proficient in working in a Windows-based environment and utilizing a PC.
