This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• This is a Temporary/Full-time role with flexible scheduling, requiring two evenings each month along with some weekend availability.
• Actively engage in professional coding activities within the Revenue and Reimbursement Department.
• Review and manage assigned tasks through the Hospital's patient health information system work queues.
• Ensure coding precision by following established medical coding conventions and guidelines.
• Examine patient health information records to pinpoint any documentation deficiencies.
• Keep abreast of current coding systems and tools, including Correct Coding Initiative edits, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS.
• Pursue continuing education to uphold coding certification.
• Understanding of the principles relevant to the position.
• Current coding certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders or the American Health Information Management Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or the right to work in the United States.
• A valid driver's license or equivalent identification.
• Willingness to engage in Hospital orientation and educational in-service sessions.
