This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Process and send claims via mail or electronic transmission.

• Monitor and track the status of claims.

• Oversee the authorization and eligibility of payer benefits.

• Handle the collections process and record cash receipts.

• Extract and confirm billing details from medical records.

• Ensure the collection of overdue balances and follow up as necessary.

• Verify patient demographic and insurance details prior to claim submission.

• Respond to patient account inquiries and assist with alternative payment arrangements when needed.

• Maintain records of patient accounts and resolve third-party payer issues.

• Review Daily Reconciliation Review documents for accuracy and enter charges into the Practice Management System.

• Prepare and assess patient statements before they are released through the Practice Management System.

• Ensure timely submission of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party insurance claims.

• Balance daily charges and reconcile them with reports from the Practice Management System.

• Collaborate with the revenue cycle manager and payers regarding denials and rejections.

• Work alongside practice representatives to ensure appropriate insurance verifications and authorizations are secured.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• GED or equivalent, or High School diploma or equivalent.

• Adhere to applicable legal standards, policies, and procedures, including the Corporate Compliance Program, Corporate Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and the Federal False Claims Act.

• Immediately report any concerns or suspected incidents of non-compliance to the Chief Compliance Officer.

• Maintain professional communication with patients and guarantors regarding account balances or information.

• Participate in mandatory orientation and training programs.

• Cooperate with monitoring, auditing functions, and investigations.

• Engage in responsibilities related to process improvement.

• Achieve productivity goals.

• Successfully complete all required training.

• Effectively manage multiple priorities.

• Possess problem-solving skills to handle a range of concrete variables.

• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication abilities.

• Interpret instructions presented in various situations.

• Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer.

• Demonstrate speed and accuracy with ten-key data entry.
