Profee Coder – Neurology/Neurosurgery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Analyze clinical documentation to accurately assign and sequence diagnostic and procedural codes.

• Confirm APC calculations for correctness.

• Conduct documentation reviews and evaluations to ensure precise abstraction of clinical data.

• Uphold strict confidentiality for patients and providers in accordance with all HIPAA Guidelines.

• Engage in continuing education initiatives to broaden knowledge, enhance skills, and retain current credentials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active AHIMA (American Health Information Association) credential.

• Two years of recent and relevant hands-on coding experience.

• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, pathophysiology, as well as ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding sets.

• Ability to consistently achieve a coding accuracy rate of 95% or higher.

• Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office applications.

• Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
