Production and Development Contract Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Assist in the drafting, negotiation, interpretation, and management of intricate proposal and contract documents for the Military Engines Organization.

• Act as the main contact for both external and internal clients concerning contract-related issues and the interpretation of contract requirements.

• Provide leadership and expertise in contract matters, developing innovative solutions for complex contracting challenges.

• Oversee the contract lifecycle from initiation to close-out.

• Evaluate terms and conditions while advising on rights and obligations related to contracting.

• Minimize contractual and programmatic risks.

• Engage with organizational managers and representatives from the United States Government.

• Prepare documents and utilize knowledge of aerospace business and legal matters.

• Implement CORE process improvement methodologies.

• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in contract management or contract drafting and negotiation; OR an advanced degree with 5+ years of such experience.

• Must hold U.S. Citizenship.

• Excellent skills in customer interaction and negotiation.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

• Proven teamwork skills.

• Proficiency in document drafting.

• Knowledge of aerospace business and legal issues.

• Familiarity with CORE process improvement tools.

• A Master's Degree or Juris Doctorate is preferred.

• Experience with FAR and DFARS is strongly preferred.

• Preference for strong contracting knowledge, document drafting, negotiation skills, and management capabilities.

• Good business judgment and project management skills are preferred.
