This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee the design and advancement of Volio's user experience across mobile platforms.
• Create intuitive, low-sensory user flows aimed at minimizing cognitive load, addressing time blindness, and reducing sensory overwhelm.
• Set design guidelines that emphasize clarity, predictability, accessibility, and user-friendliness.
• Develop the user experience and visual interface for Volio’s streamlined 2D Island Home progression feature.
• Utilize native UI components, Lottie animations, and clear vector-based layouts.
• Construct rewarding feedback loops that link real-world student behaviors with visual progression.
• Design conversational interfaces for Volio’s multi-agent AI system.
• Create experiences for task extraction, emotional check-ins, calendar scheduling, and related workflows.
• Simplify complex AI processes and backend functionalities into user-friendly experiences.
• Design clear visual states for the Draft, Confirmed, and Scheduled phases of the task lifecycle.
• Produce design systems, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
• Optimize designs for implementation on native iOS and Android platforms.
• Establish reusable UI components and scalable design standards.
• Provide design specifications and Lottie animation guidelines for development.
• Collaborate with Product, AI Engineers, Developers, Operations, Marketing, and external partners.
• Engage in rapid design iterations and product enhancements.
• Adhere to company policies, report incidents as required, maintain confidentiality, attend meetings, complete training, and fulfill other assigned responsibilities.
• At least 3 years of professional product design experience, ideally focused on mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Proven experience in designing products that involve complex data, AI-driven workflows, or similarly intricate systems.
• Strong understanding and application of accessibility standards, including WCAG.
• Demonstrated knowledge of designing for neurodivergent users and low-stimulus environments.
• A portfolio showcasing engaging, lightweight progression systems, reward mechanics, or similar engagement experiences.
• Capability to translate AI workflows, multi-agent systems, calendar logic, and contextual memory into straightforward, human-centered experiences.
• Advanced proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, especially Figma.
• Experience or knowledge of Lottie animation specifications and vector-based design.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently drive projects and execute effectively without direct oversight.
• High reliability, accountability, organization, and follow-through.
• Proficiency in collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
