This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Identify and cultivate new customers and applications.
• Engage in on-site discussions with prospects and customers.
• Supply market and application insights for the specified markets.
• Assist in creating marketing materials including presentations, bulletins, sales, and technical manuals.
• Analyze customer requirements through data sheets, blueprints, or other information to formulate a detailed proposal outlining: required equipment, pricing, delivery timelines, and financial terms for the specified product.
• Evaluate proposals to ensure they align with company standards and contractual language.
• Offer technical, installation, and troubleshooting guidance to customers, sales teams, and other company departments.
• Promote and sell products to various market segments, including power generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Identify key prospects, conduct needs assessments, and generate and qualify leads.
• Create sales strategies to meet or exceed established quotas.
• Maintain the CRM system according to company protocols.
• Regularly communicate with management regarding sales prospects, competitive challenges, revenue and profit expectations, etc.
• Attend promotional events where potential customers are present, such as conferences, trade shows, and industry relations programs.
• Effectively interact and communicate with employees at all levels within the company, as well as with suppliers, customers, and peers.
• Adhere to the company’s policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
• Uphold a quality assurance policy in line with ISO standards.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe. Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement for this position.
• A minimum of five (5) years of outside sales experience in transformer services, substation equipment sales, or other engineered solutions related to electricity transmission and distribution is required.
• Experience in industrial lubrication oil or hydraulic equipment sales within the Oil & Gas, Mining, Power Generation, or Paper & Pulp industries will also be considered.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business or an equivalent combination of education and a minimum of three (3) years of related outside sales experience in the aforementioned industries is acceptable.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and following verbal instructions in Standard English is essential.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced technical environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated capability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record are mandatory.
• Willingness to travel 50% or more of the time, including frequent overnight trips, is required.
