Product Research Scientist, Drug Discovery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with ML and Computational Chemistry researchers to convert internal scientific code and prototypes into reliable, production-ready software systems for external product offerings.

• Develop and incorporate essential scientific algorithms (ML, deep learning, physics-based simulation) into scalable product platforms.

• Work within a diverse "pod" of engineers, computational chemists, AI specialists, and product managers to establish requirements, architecture, and deployment strategies for new features.

• Maintain the scientific integrity and precision of research models (e.g., active learning, FEP, etc.) when they are deployed in a production environment.

• Lead the product lifecycle from scientific conception to external deployment, ensuring both technical excellence and market relevance.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in chemistry, biology, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of pertinent experience in a product-oriented engineering or applied science role, specifically in translating ML or computational chemistry research into production software in the private sector (preferably biotech/pharma).

• Proven experience in deploying and maintaining machine learning models for scientific applications (e.g., molecular property prediction, multi-objective optimization).

• Expertise in Python toolkits for scientific computing (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) and machine learning (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch).

• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to collaborating with colleagues to identify issues and convey technical solutions in an understandable way.
