Product Owner, P&C Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the representative of the stakeholder/product team, effectively communicating the issues to be addressed or the opportunities to be seized.

• Build and nurture robust relationships with stakeholders to foresee future needs and opportunities, translating their objectives into actionable digital projects.

• Play a key role in shaping the product vision by working with stakeholders to outline and enhance the product roadmap.

• Take ownership of the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with business priorities and strategic goals.

• Lead or facilitate design and discovery sessions to create prototypes and collect feedback.

• Define and manage the scope and parameters of the product to establish predictable outcomes and actionable plans.

• Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the product's user experience, developing strategies for enhancement.

• Prioritize and oversee backlog items to guarantee timely and high-quality delivery.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity of requirements, alignment of solutions, and readiness for testing.

• Compose clear and concise user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.

• Deliver product demonstrations to business stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• At least 5-8+ years of relevant experience as an IT Product Owner or in a similar role related to digital delivery.

• A strong understanding of P&C insurance workflows and systems is essential.

• Experience in non-admitted insurance is highly preferred.

• Proven track record in business analysis, product ownership, or delivery leadership.

• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and foster consensus effectively.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) is required.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving abilities.
