This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• You will take charge of product-led growth for our contractor audience at Canals, playing a vital role in our expansion into this emerging customer segment.
• In this position, your primary focus will be on the in-product experience—crafting onboarding flows, activation moments, and self-service experiences that convert contractor users into engaged and retained customers.
• You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization, including Sales, Customer Success, and Product, to drive contractor adoption and growth.
• Design and enhance in-product onboarding flows and self-service activation experiences tailored for our contractor audience.
• Create in-product messaging, nudges, and prompts that guide contractors from their initial interaction to becoming activated users.
• Analyze the contractor funnel and conduct experiments to boost conversion and retention rates.
• Work in partnership with Product and Engineering teams to realize in-product growth moments.
• Formulate messaging and positioning for contractor-facing products and features based on both primary and secondary research.
• Train and empower go-to-market teams regarding contractor products and features.
• Produce supporting marketing materials, such as one-pagers and website pages.
• Gather and organize competitive intelligence to bolster Sales and Marketing efforts.
• Monitor and assess adoption and effectiveness metrics.
• Influence the product roadmap by incorporating contractor market feedback.
• 3–5 years of experience in product marketing.
• Practical experience in PLG or in-product growth—you’ve designed onboarding flows and activation experiences rather than just observed them.
• Strong data fluency; you can extract your own metrics, run experiments, and know how to interpret your findings.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• A strong cross-functional collaborator who effectively engages with and can communicate with teams in Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering.
• Self-motivated and proactive—someone who accomplishes tasks independently.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and adapting to shifting timelines.
• Experience in construction, trades, or distribution is a plus but not mandatory.
• Background in a startup or fast-paced environment is advantageous but not required.
