This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +4 more states.
• Develop and sustain product positioning and messaging for PlantPredict, Construct, Terafab, SCADA/Controls, and future offerings.
• Conduct regular discussions with stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and sales teams, to stay informed about capabilities, roadmaps, and the competitive landscape.
• Convert technical product advancements into marketing materials such as website content, product one-pagers, brochures, sales presentations (PowerPoint), and data sheets.
• Collaborate with sales and customer-facing teams to create case studies, use-case narratives, and customer success stories.
• Build and manage sales enablement resources, ensuring the sales team is equipped with the latest competitive intelligence, objection-handling guides, and pitch support.
• Assist in product launches by coordinating messaging across various channels.
• Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to refine positioning strategies.
• Write press releases, media pitches, and executive talking points for product announcements and company milestones.
• Prepare and submit applications for industry awards.
• Coordinate co-marketing initiatives with technology and channel partners, which may include joint webinars, co-branded content, and cross-promotional efforts.
• Generate product-centric content for platforms like LinkedIn, email campaigns (Mailchimp), and the company blog/website.
• Manage and refresh website content using Webflow, which includes product pages, landing pages, and blog posts.
• Plan, oversee, and facilitate webinars from start to finish: topic development, speaker coordination, platform management, promotional emails, post-event follow-up campaigns, and reporting.
• Create and edit short-form video content for social media, including product demonstrations, podcast snippets, and event highlights.
• Write and design email newsletters, LinkedIn posts, blog entries, case studies, customer success stories, and more.
• Develop and uphold a content calendar to coordinate publishing across channels in relation to product launches, company announcements, industry events, and seasonal campaigns.
• Support executive thought leadership by identifying speaking opportunities, drafting bylines and contributed articles, and preparing talking points for media interviews and podcasts.
• Contribute to SEO-optimized web content and landing pages for product lines.
• Assist with logistics for trade shows and conferences, including booth materials, signage, handouts, talking points, and on-site coordination. Key events include RE+, CLEANPOWER, Intersolar Europe, PVPMC, and various European industry conferences, which may require multi-day travel a couple of times a year.
• Coordinate with external vendors, designers, and agencies as necessary.
• Help maintain the marketing operations infrastructure, including email lists, CRM cleanliness, campaign tracking, and reporting.
• Monitor and report on marketing campaign performance across channels. Maintain dashboards for key metrics (email, webinar, social, web traffic) and provide regular updates to assist in budget and resource planning.
• Help enforce brand standards throughout the organization, supporting internal teams with on-brand templates, messaging guidelines, and reviewing customer-facing materials.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects that arise as part of a two-person marketing team in a growing company.
• 5+ years of experience in product marketing within B2B software or technology, including SaaS.
• Proven ability to grasp complex technical products and communicate them effectively to both technical and business audiences.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce a significant volume of content that is sharp, concise, and devoid of filler.
• Experience in creating marketing collateral across various formats, including web, email, slide decks, print, and video.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple product lines and deadlines simultaneously.
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp or similar), webinar tools, and CMS platforms (Webflow, WordPress).
• Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator), Canva, or comparable) to produce marketing assets without external assistance.
• Proficiency and willingness to embrace AI workflows (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.).
• Experience with PowerPoint for crafting polished sales and conference presentations.
• BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong command of written and spoken English, with the capability to create clear, compelling, and audience-specific messaging across product positioning, go-to-market materials, campaigns, and stakeholder communications.
• Preferred: Experience in solar, renewable energy, or energy technology, with a meaningful understanding of utility-scale project development or EPC workflows.
• Experience as an early marketing hire in a startup or growth-stage company.
• Video editing skills (Premiere or similar) for product demos, social media clips, and event content.
• Experience managing paid digital advertising (Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
• Familiarity with LinkedIn marketing, including both organic content strategy and LinkedIn advertising.
• Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce) and lead enrichment/GTM/prospecting platforms (Clay, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
• Comfort with basic HTML/CSS for email templates and web content edits.
• Working knowledge of SEO principles and analytics tools.
