This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the roadmap for the trading experience within your area, including sequencing, requirements, and delivery, in close collaboration with the Head of Product.
• Establish the standards for a top-tier proprietary trading user experience: quick, intuitive, and tailored for serious derivatives traders.
• Execute on immediate priorities and ensure terminal parity with leading market players (Hyperliquid and others).
• Direct the product strategy for agentic and API trading, empowering power users with programmatic access to proprietary capital.
• Collaborate with Kraken Pro engineering to create a trading experience that is seamless within the crypto ecosystem while addressing the unique needs of proprietary traders.
• Work closely with the risk team to convert execution nuances into product requirements, gaining an understanding of A-book versus B-book mechanics, drawdown rules, and their influence on user experience.
• Set clear standards for what "done" means on trading features, including requirements, edge cases, acceptance criteria, and post-launch iterations.
• 3-6+ years of experience in senior product management, with considerable time spent managing a trading or execution product.
• Profound knowledge of derivatives trading, including perps, futures, margin, leverage, order types, and risk parameters.
• Proven experience in developing products for professional or semi-professional traders who have high expectations and low tolerance for friction.
• Demonstrated ability to ship complex, technically challenging features from start to finish with exceptional quality.
• Capable of drafting detailed and clear product requirements that engineers can act on without needing constant clarification.
• Strong viewpoints on trading user experience — you have utilized the best terminals available and understand quality standards.
• Comfortable with technical specifics — able to read API documentation, comprehend data contracts, and provide informed opinions on architectural trade-offs.
• Experience working on products that require real-time data (such as streaming prices, live P&L, and order states).
• Familiar with concepts related to trading infrastructure, including order routing, execution layers, risk engines, and position monitoring.
• Bonus: familiarity with agentic workflows, algorithmic trading, or API-first product design.
• Senior enough to independently manage a domain with minimal guidance — you set the agenda rather than wait for one.
• Strong written communication skills — your PRDs, tickets, and asynchronous updates are clear and comprehensive.
• Experience collaborating across multiple engineering teams and managing cross-functional dependencies.
• Trader empathy — you understand the pressures of having an open position and the necessity for the product to function flawlessly.
• Crypto-native or deeply curious — you grasp the space, its culture, and the significance of proprietary trading within it.
