This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the platform roadmap for shared infrastructure, encompassing APIs, authentication and authorization, data layers, multi-tenancy, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish platform investment priorities by balancing the productivity of internal developers with the reliability and scalability demands of product-facing services.
• Lead decisions regarding build versus buy for infrastructure components and assess emerging technologies for potential platform integration.
• Collaborate with product-line project managers to pinpoint shared requirements, eliminate redundant efforts across modules, and align platform capabilities with product launch schedules.
• Manage the integration infrastructure strategy that facilitates connections to tax preparation software such as CCH Axcess, GoSystem, UltraTax, and ProSystem fx.
• Set standards for validation gating, primary key management, and data integrity for all outbound integrations.
• Enhance integration reliability by addressing identified pain points.
• Create clear product requirement documents (PRDs), technical specifications, and acceptance criteria for integration and platform projects.
• Oversee the flow of structured and unstructured tax data through the platform, ensuring consistency and traceability across all product modules.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to uphold SOC 2 Type II certification and enforce secure document management across all platform services.
• Establish data access patterns, retention policies, and audit requirements that support both existing products and future data monetization strategies.
• Minimum of 5 years in product management, with at least 2 years dedicated to platform, infrastructure, or developer tools products.
• Strong technical proficiency, capable of discussing APIs, microservices, data pipelines, authentication methods, and cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred).
• Experience in developing internal platforms or shared services utilized by various product teams.
• Proven history of defining service level agreements (SLAs), managing technical debt, and making practical build-vs-buy decisions.
• Ability to convert ambiguous infrastructure requirements into structured roadmaps with quantifiable outcomes.
• Exceptional written communication skills, with a capacity for producing clear PRDs, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, Security, and DevOps teams.
• Comfortable functioning as a hands-on individual contributor within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Familiarity with Azure-hosted infrastructure, including AKS, PaaS services, and container orchestration.
• Background in SOC 2, data security, or compliance-focused product environments.
• Knowledge of tax technology, financial services, or document processing platforms.
• Experience with AI/ML platform services, model operations, or training infrastructure.
• Experience in integration product management, specifically with enterprise software connectors or marketplace ecosystems.
