• Take ownership of the data platform roadmap.
• Prioritize and oversee initiatives related to the ingestion, transformation, categorization, storage, and delivery of data to downstream systems and products.
• Manage relationships with vendors.
• Assess, negotiate, and supervise external data partnerships, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
• Lead internal data initiatives and guide the Data team in developing categorization logic, enrichment pipelines, and insights layers to facilitate reporting, analytics, and product functionality.
• Define and document product requirements for data feeds, APIs, schemas, and reporting layers that will enhance customer-facing applications.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to ensure a robust architecture, scalability, and high-quality data availability across products.
• Drive insight generation and work alongside Data Science and Analytics teams to highlight KPIs, benchmarks, and predictive capabilities that enhance client outcomes.
• Advocate for data quality and governance by establishing standards for accuracy, consistency, and transparency across datasets.
• Convert business needs into data capabilities, ensuring customer requirements are satisfied with clear, actionable use cases.
• Support go-to-market readiness by equipping Marketing, Sales, and Client Success teams with appropriate narratives, use cases, and enablement tools surrounding data-driven features.
• Assess new data opportunities and pinpoint emerging data sources, licensing models, and enrichment services to broaden product capabilities.
• 3–7 years of experience in Product Management, focusing on data products, platforms, or analytics solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with data teams on pipelines, ETL processes, APIs, and data architecture principles.
• Experience in managing external vendor relationships, licensing agreements, or third-party data integrations.
• Practical experience in delivering products that utilize complex datasets (e.g., categorization, forecasting, benchmarking, optimization).
• Strong analytical skills, including the capability to interpret data models, dashboards, and usage metrics to guide product strategy.
• Familiarity with SQL, data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) is preferred.
• A background in automotive fixed operations, transportation, logistics, or related industries is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to partner with Engineering and Data Science teams to deliver scalable, high-impact products.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical data concepts in business terms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
• Pragmatic Institute Certification or similar product training is a plus.
