This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Develop a thorough understanding of aluminum plate capabilities and processing workflows.
• Evaluate operational processes to pinpoint bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Gather and assess performance data to guide optimization strategies.
• Select, inspire, and assist team members through collaboration and training.
• Monitor the effectiveness of changes implemented and make adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with Sales to enhance solution selling for aluminum plate products.
• Foster strong relationships within the sales organization to ensure product alignment.
• Identify and present solution-oriented opportunities to clients.
• Create and implement Sales and Marketing strategies for the aluminum plate product line.
• Assist in quoting processes and sales contracts.
• Identify and pursue potential customers for aluminum plate products.
• Work closely with the Product Director, Supply Chain, and supplier partners.
• Manage inventory levels to achieve designated objectives.
• Maintain a solid understanding of the supply base, contracts, and overall cost structures.
• Promote a Safety-First culture throughout all plate processing activities.
• Oversee and manage key performance indicators (KPIs).
• A Safety-First mindset with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in sales, operations, purchasing, or management.
• Familiarity with plate sawing equipment and related processing machinery.
• Robust relationship-building and team leadership abilities across various regions.
• Proficient computer and data analysis skills to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Capability to interpret data, recognize trends, and derive actionable conclusions.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and executing process improvement initiatives.
• Strong comprehension of KPIs, business operations, and their financial implications.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% across the U.S. and Canada.
