Product Engineer – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Take charge of product initiatives from start to finish: defining problems, creating specifications, building, rolling out, measuring, and iterating.

• Transform unclear customer and operational challenges (such as provisioning, reliability, scalability, observability, deployment, pricing, and usage) into structured plans with measurable results.

• Develop backend services, APIs, internal tools, and customer-facing functionalities that simplify the provisioning, operation, and scaling of blockchain infrastructure.

• Identify friction points, reliability risks, scaling constraints, and missed opportunities, then implement effective solutions from concept to production.

• Establish and enhance the key metrics that matter: activation, adoption, provisioning time, deployment success rate, operational cost, incident frequency, support volume, and retention.

• Leverage AI throughout the workflow (including research, specifications, implementation, testing, and analysis) to accelerate progress while maintaining a high standard for verification.

• Collaborate across product, engineering, DevOps, support, and sales teams, clearly communicating decisions, trade-offs, and risks in writing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in backend, product, platform, or distributed systems roles.

• Proven history of overseeing projects from beginning to end: discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, measurement, and iteration.

• Strong product intuition; able to link technical efforts to customer value, commercial impact, and measurable outcomes.

• Extensive backend experience in building production services, APIs, and integrations using a modern programming language.

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous and event-driven architectures, along with the trade-offs regarding reliability.

• Hands-on experience with at least one messaging broker or event-streaming tool (like NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).

• Proficient in designing, deploying, and managing services in Kubernetes and containerized environments.

• Comfortable with the operational aspects of what you develop: CI/CD, observability, and basic production ownership.

• A practical approach to AI-native workflows; utilizing coding and research agents and debugging tools to enhance design, implementation, testing, and analysis while maintaining high standards for correctness.

• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Experience with Go in a production environment is a plus.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, or similar).

• Experience with blockchain integration through RPC APIs or operating blockchain client nodes.

• Understanding of Web3 infrastructure, including validators, indexing, and node orchestration.

• Experience in building self-service products, internal tools, or deployment and automation systems.

• Familiarity with planning practices (RFCs, ADRs, PRDs, spec-driven development) and the necessary documentation: proposals, runbooks, briefs.

• Experience working directly with customers, support, or sales to transform friction into product enhancements.

• Knowledge of usage-based products, infrastructure pricing, or B2B SaaS metrics.
