Product Engineer, PHP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Participate in research and development, design, implementation, integration, testing, and deployment of software applications.

• Lead and coordinate activities focused on the development of specific application modules.

• Perform technical analysis and design for application modules and databases.

• Offer technical expertise and guidance to developers.

• Ensure that developed modules adhere to the established architecture and standards, which includes performing code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.

• Engage in continuous process improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or a related field is required.

• Experience in developing web applications and APIs using programming languages like PHP (Version 8) with the CodeIgniter Framework, CSS, and jQuery.

• Proven experience in developing RESTful APIs utilizing XML and JSON.

• Experience migrating CodeIgniter Framework from Version 3 to Version 4 is a plus.

• Strong proficiency in MySQL querying.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems design and software implementation.

• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Static Code Security.

• Knowledge of SDK integration and mobile development technologies for iOS and Android platforms is advantageous.

• Understanding of cloud technology is a plus.

• A positive attitude, patience with colleagues, and a willingness to learn are essential.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
