Product Engineer, Fullstack, Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integral member of the team responsible for developing and delivering the agentic-workflow product interface in Prefect Cloud — including execution plans, agent authoring, and human-in-the-loop gates — from initial concepts to a refined, released experience.

• Oversee user-facing features thoroughly across the entire stack, with a primary focus on the front-end.

• Act as a collaborative partner to the Prefect Cloud engineering team regarding product and user experience strategy.

• Apply orchestration and development tools insights to product decisions — you grasp both the user perspective and the broader category context.

• Collaborate with customers and go-to-market teams, including design partners, to convert feedback into functional software through rapid feedback loops.

• Develop maintainable, high-performance full-stack code and engage in on-call duties and incident management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of full-stack engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering user-facing products.

• Strong expertise in front-end development: extensive knowledge of TypeScript, Vue, and contemporary UI libraries. You can transform ideas into polished implementations and have informed views on effective user experience.

• Proven history of delivering in high-ambiguity, early-stage settings without a dedicated product manager.

• Comfortable working across the entire stack; your strengths and passions lie in the product interface.

• Preference for candidates with knowledge of the orchestration, workflow, or developer-tools domain — for instance, experience with tools like Temporal, Airflow, Langsmith, n8n, or similar. Experience in adjacent development tools or platforms is also beneficial.

• A genuine interest in agents and AI/LLM tools; you stay informed about trends in the field and have your own insights.

• Proficient in AI development tools. You've successfully delivered significant projects using Claude Code, Codex, or their equivalents. You take responsibility for their output: you guide them with specifications that are clear to both humans and machines, and you utilize them to establish a high-trust production environment for users.
