Product Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and implementation of the FinData product roadmap.

• Convert product objectives into precise, actionable requirements for engineering teams.

• Create mockups, wireframes, and schematics to effectively convey concepts and requirements.

• Establish business logic and relationships to ensure consistent and reliable system behaviors.

• Query internal PostgreSQL/Snowflake/Athena databases to uncover critical data-related insights and identify significant data gaps.

• Perform thorough screening and data validation to uphold strong quality-assurance practices.

• Suggest design concepts and improvements to tackle technical challenges and enhance system performance.

• Produce and maintain product documentation to align all stakeholders.

• Manage project prioritization, dependencies, and sequencing across teams and initiatives.

• Assist in project planning tasks, including estimating timelines, scheduling, and monitoring progress.

• Contribute to product and feature release documentation and communicate new functionalities to internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate effectively with engineers, analysts, and product managers.

• Bachelor’s degree in a highly analytical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related area.

• 1–3 years of relevant experience, which may include internships or academic projects.

• A passion for building a career in product management and technology development.

• An inquisitive nature regarding financial data and capital markets intelligence.

• A demonstrated analytical mindset capable of transforming complex challenges into structured, data-driven solutions.

• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Capability to meet deadlines and work autonomously.

• Basic proficiency in SQL for navigating and querying financial datasets is essential.

• Familiarity with advanced SQL techniques and Python for data analysis or automation is regarded as a significant advantage.
