This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Correspondent and show teams to create, report, and present compelling, visually engaging stories with clear narratives and thoroughly researched journalism.

• Propose, field produce, write, and fact-check stories across NBC News' linear and streaming platforms, encompassing daily news, longform articles, and cross-platform content.

• Conduct original reporting, extensive research, and source interviews.

• Secure guest bookings in a competitive landscape; perform pre-interviews and prepare talking points.

• Ability to travel on short notice to cover a story and remain on-site for as long as necessary.

• Work in tandem with control rooms, senior producers, and editorial teams to develop rundowns, write introductions, and produce both live and taped segments.

• Oversee field operations, including live shots, remote anchor setups, and coverage of breaking news.

• Monitor and manage the correspondent’s schedule while collaborating closely with them.

• Collaborate with editors to guarantee high-quality video packages, graphics, and audio.

• Partner with Standards & Legal to ensure all content complies with editorial and corporate standards.

• Maintain effective communication with the Correspondent, senior leadership, and production teams.

• Generate ideas for a diverse array of content, including daily news, lifestyle features, celebrity interviews, and human-interest stories.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in network news, cable, or talk show production, including both live and taped segments.

• Strong skills in journalistic writing, research, and editorial judgment.

• Demonstrated understanding of U.S. politics, current events, pop culture, and lifestyle trends.

• Experience with shooting (DSLR or similar) and editing (Avid and/or Adobe Premiere).

• Proficient in navigating newsroom tools and technology (Slack, NCX, Latakoo, etc.).

• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments under tight deadlines.

• Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime with minimal notice.

• Must be willing to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; capable of collaborating across teams.
