This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Develop and execute thorough category strategies for raw materials, composites, or the standard hardware category to reduce supply chain risks, ensure cost-effectiveness, and align with the goals of the Organization and Program.
• Create Procurement Review Board (PRB) packages, competitive and sole source bid documents, host bidders conferences, analyze and evaluate submissions, conduct price/cost assessments, negotiate contract terms, recommend awards, and manage the resulting contracts.
• Track commodity indices and utilize market trends to guide sourcing decisions.
• Perform market analysis, total-cost-of-ownership evaluations, and demand forecasting to influence long-term sourcing strategies.
• Implement standard Aerospace & Defense procurement methodologies across spend categories to meet organizational goals, deliver best value for the enterprise, and achieve target return on investments (ROI).
• Assist with sector initiatives and special projects as needed.
• Establish vendor managed inventory (VMI) agreements, Right-to-Buy Agreements, long-term contracts, strategic agreements, and negotiate beneficial terms and conditions with Suppliers.
• Identify supply chain risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation and execution strategies to address them.
• Manage both internal and external relationships as well as supplier partnerships.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Subcontracts, or Supply Chain Management, OR a master’s degree with at least 3+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, 9 years of experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• In-depth knowledge of FAR provisions and GSC policies and procedures.
• Proficient at multitasking and making informed decisions promptly.
• Experience in building teams and collaborating with Programs and other departments both within and outside of Global Supply Chain.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and apply sound judgment to problem-solving.
• At a minimum, the capability to secure an active DoD Secret level clearance prior to starting the role, along with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the Company to fulfill its business requirements.
• Must reside within a commutable distance from one of the following locations: Palmdale, CA; Redondo Beach, CA; or Melbourne, FL.
