This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Lead vendor negotiations across the organization for marketing and influencer expenditures, tools, infrastructure, hiring fees, general and administrative costs, and outsourcing.
• Achieve measurable savings on current spending while ensuring that new and renewed commitments provide significant value.
• Develop and sustain a framework for vendor performance assessment.
• Analyze and optimize the supplier base.
• Promote a culture throughout the company where every euro is valued.
• Manage the Investment Request database and ensure that expenditures exceeding thresholds receive appropriate approvals.
• Monitor spending by category and alert budget owners of overspending in collaboration with Financial Planning & Analysis.
• Execute the procure-to-pay process, which includes purchase orders, approval workflows, and payment matching.
• Establish the Procurement function and governance for spending from the ground up.
• Collaborate across Finance, Legal, Business Operations, Marketing, and Technology.
• Report directly to the VP of Finance.
• Senior-level candidate capable of functioning autonomously from the outset.
• Ideally possess over 6 years of experience in procurement, vendor negotiation, or strategic sourcing.
• Experience in a technology scale-up, consulting, or corporate procurement setting.
• Master’s degree from a prestigious business or engineering institution.
• Proven experience in conducting vendor negotiations and structuring lasting agreements.
• Ability to assess costs against strategic value and make informed trade-offs.
• Capable of clearly communicating vendor deals and spending trade-offs to stakeholders outside of finance and procurement.
• Proficient in managing multiple negotiations and implementations simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Ability to build trust and influence within Finance, Legal, Business Operations, Marketing, and Technology without formal budget authority.
• Entrepreneurial and self-sufficient mindset.
• Regular use of AI tools and a passion for AI-driven spending governance.
• Proficient in both English and French.
