Processing Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of up to 10 senior processors managing purchase and refinance transactions.

• Provide coaching, training, and oversee quality assurance along with continuous team development.

• Conduct weekly one-on-one sessions, team meetings, and departmental calls.

• Oversee timekeeping, attendance, and overtime management.

• Distribute files among the team and track turnaround times in accordance with SLA.

• Perform weekly pipeline evaluations with branch partners.

• Address underwriting and closing escalations.

• Conduct spot-checks on files to identify quality and training deficiencies.

• Review borrower credit, income, and asset documentation prior to underwriting submission.

• Ensure the pipeline adheres to RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and Reg B regulations.

• Act as the main point of contact for Branch Managers and Operations.

• Collaborate with Team Leads and the Regional Corporate Processing Manager.

• Assist Closing, Secondary, and Servicing teams in resolving suspense items.

• Maintain current notes in the LOS and respond to emails and phone communications within SLA.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in corporate/centralized processing at a large independent mortgage banker (IMB); branch processing leadership is not applicable.

• Demonstrated experience managing 8–10+ processors, including performance oversight and coaching.

• Comprehensive understanding of conventional, government, non-QM, and renovation lending.

• Familiarity with RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and Reg B regulations.

• Recent experience (within the last 3 years) with conventional, government (FHA/VA/USDA), non-QM, and renovation loan products.

• Experience in the past 2–3 years managing 8+ processors with an average monthly closed volume of 25+ units.

• Must currently reside in the United States.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
