Process Mechanical Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute mechanical piping design and layout tasks for process equipment.

• Coordinate P&ID and piping specifications effectively.

• Engage in coordination across disciplines to resolve model clashes.

• Create detailed process mechanical and piping drawings.

• Comprehend the required level of detail at various project design gates and milestones.

• Offer technical support to ensure the successful completion of assigned tasks.

• Enhance skills through formal training as well as on-the-job learning opportunities.

• Exhibit flexibility in adapting to and executing additional assignments as project needs evolve.

• Potentially provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge-sharing to assist less experienced team members in their professional growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Revit/AutoCAD for design applications.

• Familiarity with process mechanical piping design and equipment layout.

• Strong coordination skills for P&ID and piping specifications.

• Competent in resolving clashes through cross-discipline model coordination.

• Solid understanding of detail levels required at project design gates and milestones.

• Typically requires at least 2 years of experience in process mechanical design or a related field.

• Preferred minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in process mechanical design.

• Experience with Open Plant and Smart PIDs.

• Background in Water and Wastewater infrastructure design.

• Experience in 3D modeling, BIM design, drawing production, and related workflows.

• Strong technical skills with the ability to convey ideas and concepts both visually and verbally.

• Excellent communication and writing skills.

• An associate’s degree in mechanical engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent experience is mandatory.
