Process Engineer – PGN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist the Process Engineering team for Fertilizers and Chemical Gas units.

• Offer technical advisory support, which includes conducting performance tests on equipment.

• Evaluate equipment integrity and compile detailed reports.

• Oversee, engage in, and execute maintenance and inspection services on equipment, facilities, and systems; aid in project, construction, and assembly services; carry out technical feasibility assessments for projects; and take part in risk evaluations for project execution.

• Develop maintenance and inspection strategies and procedures.

• Create technical and economic feasibility analyses for process enhancements on Fertilizer assets.

• Analyze operational routines.

• Conduct operational risk assessments.

• Execute failure and risk analyses utilizing relevant methodologies (HAZOP, fault tree analysis, Ishikawa/fishbone).

• Formulate technical specifications for the procurement of equipment related to process enhancements and compile technical lists of essential spare parts.

• Provide technical assistance during commissioning supervision and performance evaluations of new equipment at the Fertilizers plants.

• Oversee basic and detailed engineering projects aimed at improvements and expansions.

• Draft technical communications with suggestions and warnings regarding recurring failure trends or mechanical failure scopes.

• Observe trials and equipment tests that involve process variables.

• Offer technical insights on tests and trials concerning process variables and feedstocks.

• Supervise preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment; manage the assembly, disassembly, and preparation of metallic and non-metallic piping; oversee the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of steam turbine components and boilers.

• Supervise both preventive and corrective maintenance of water and gas systems.

• Supervise both preventive and corrective maintenance of process systems.

• Complete risk analyses, documentation, and maintenance orders with the necessary data for their closure.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in relevant activities.

• Ideally, a minimum of 2 years of experience in operational gas processing units, refineries, fertilizer plants, and/or petrochemical facilities.

• Proficiency in tools such as SAP, DWG (AutoCAD), Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• A degree in Engineering with professional registration (CREA).
