Process, Chemical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Perform technical evaluations, process modeling, and feasibility studies for water and waste treatment initiatives.

• Assist in the design and optimization of chemical or physical treatment methodologies for converting waste into resources.

• Evaluate chemical, physical, and environmental data to support sustainability assessments and cost-benefit analyses.

• Aid in the development of technical documentation, proposals, and presentations for clients.

• Collaborate effectively with environmental scientists, economists, and engineers on interdisciplinary projects.

• Ensure that all project deliverables meet applicable environmental, safety, and quality regulations.

• Engage in virtual meetings, workshops, and stakeholder interactions as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).

• At least 3 years of experience in water treatment, environmental engineering, process design, or a similar field.

• Proven experience in chemical process design, mass balance calculations, and/or waste valorization.

• Knowledge of modeling tools is a plus.

• Experience in technical writing, data analysis, and the preparation of feasibility or design documents.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities.

• Strong interest in circular economy principles and sustainable innovation.

• Self-motivated with the capability to handle tasks independently in a remote setting.

• Previous experience in a consulting or project-oriented position.

• Strong coordination and collaboration skills across various disciplines and locations.
