This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +3 more states.
• Accountable for the design, standardization, and governance of comprehensive business processes throughout the organization.
• Ensures that processes are efficient, compliant, scalable, and aligned with enterprise optimization objectives.
• Converts optimization strategies into clear, executable, and measurable process designs.
• Establishes standards to facilitate consistent execution across various teams and platforms.
• Develops and documents end-to-end processes in areas such as claims, enrollment, customer service, utilization management, operations, and finance.
• Creates current-state and target-state process models using standard methodologies (e.g., BPMN).
• Defines process boundaries, handoffs, roles, controls, and decision points.
• Establishes enterprise process standards, modeling conventions, and documentation requirements.
• Maintains a centralized repository for processes and architectural artifacts.
• Ensures processes comply with regulatory, contractual, and audit requirements.
• Collaborates with Business Optimization Architects to translate optimization initiatives into actionable process designs.
• Aids operational teams during implementation by clarifying process intent and design.
• Provides counsel on process adoption, change impacts, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Identifies process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and gaps in controls.
• Supports process measurement by establishing operational metrics and controls.
• Integrates feedback and performance results into continuous process improvement efforts.
• Works in close partnership with IT, data, compliance, and operations teams to ensure that process designs are practical and enforceable.
• Facilitates technology enablement efforts by defining business process requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–8+ years of experience in process design, process architecture, or operational excellence.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or TPA operations.
• Proficiency in process modeling tools and methodologies (e.g., BPMN).
• Excellent documentation and facilitation abilities.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement certification is preferred.
• Experience in supporting system implementations or automation initiatives is preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance and audit requirements is preferred.
