This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the investigation of suspected privacy incidents and breaches involving protected health information and other sensitive data under the guidance of senior team members.
• Collect facts, examine available records, and collaborate with business partners to establish the scope, root cause, and necessary follow-up actions.
• Aid in the documentation of incidents, client support materials, and internal communications related to privacy issues, with senior oversight for complex matters.
• Keep records of investigations, evidence, and the privacy incident log in compliance with retention requirements.
• Recognize patterns and recurring issues from incidents, including those related to new technologies or process gaps, and report trends to senior team members.
• Assist with the daily operations of privacy functions, including privacy reviews, documentation, issue tracking, and follow-up tasks throughout the organization.
• Support privacy risk assessments concerning sensitive data, business processes, and evolving technologies.
• Analyze data flows, system use cases, and operational activities to identify privacy risks and escalation requirements.
• Help maintain privacy logs, intake records, issue trackers, and program documentation with a high level of accuracy and organization.
• Participate in evaluations of digital tools, workflow automation, analytics platforms, and AI-enabled solutions to ensure privacy requirements are considered early in the design and implementation phases.
• Keep abreast of regulatory, industry, and technology developments, summarizing practical implications for the privacy team.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of templates, workflows, trackers, and checklists utilized in privacy operations and governance activities, focusing on efficiency, usability, and scalability.
• Assist in the development of privacy policies, standards, training materials, and internal guidance documents.
• Support privacy risk assessments, audits, monitoring activities, and preparations for regulatory responses.
• Monitor metrics and assist in the preparation of reports, dashboards, and status updates that translate privacy activities into valuable insights for leaders and business partners.
• Bachelor's degree or a relevant combination of education and experience.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in privacy, compliance, healthcare operations, information governance, information security, risk management, or a related analytical, operational, or technology-oriented role.
• Familiarity with privacy principles, data handling standards, and risk awareness in regulated or data-intensive settings.
• Proven ability to produce clear and organized written documentation, including case notes, issue summaries, policy drafts, reports, or research findings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to explain technical or regulatory topics to non-technical audiences.
• Good judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive information appropriately.
• A strong interest in professional growth and a willingness to pursue privacy certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPM, CHPC, or related credentials.
