This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Develop and refine processes and procedures to operationalize privacy compliance while managing and supporting daily operations related to privacy compliance, including conducting privacy impact and risk assessments, handling data subject requests, and maintaining records of processing activities.
• Assist in privacy compliance initiatives to ensure the integration of privacy-by-design principles and adherence to the company's privacy policies and procedures for business processes and projects.
• Support the upkeep of privacy notices and their implementation across various cross-functional teams.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and regulatory changes, and monitor compliance with global privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable frameworks.
• Conduct legal and factual research and provide assistance with contract administration tasks as necessary.
• Occasional local travel to Orlando may be required, but otherwise, no travel is necessary.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, law, risk management, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications in privacy or data governance are advantageous but not mandatory (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT).
• Proficient understanding of global privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and others.
• Capability to simplify complex concepts into clear, understandable language.
• Strong project management, organizational, and documentation abilities.
• Ability to identify problems, gather relevant information, establish facts, draw appropriate conclusions, and exercise sound judgment and discretion in decision-making and task performance.
• Capacity to thrive in a team setting while being a self-starter who excels in autonomous work and taking initiative.
• Robust experience with data privacy compliance software such as OneTrust, TrustArc, or similar platforms.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience with global privacy laws and regulations, as well as privacy/compliance frameworks.
• Extensive experience in operationalizing all facets of privacy compliance programs.
• Experience that is equivalent to the educational requirement may be considered in place of the formal education requirement.
