This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Stay updated on FDA, EU, and other pertinent guidelines and industry standards.
• Act as a representative for the editorial team in medical writing, study groups, and cross-departmental project teams.
• Oversee timelines and budgets, reporting any risks to project leaders or supervisors.
• Offer technical support and expertise.
• Conduct training sessions and mentor medical editing personnel.
• Provide guidance to medical writers, editors, and study teams regarding quality review, compilation, and editorial standards.
• Take the lead on complex and/or large medical writing projects.
• Organize and facilitate internal team meetings specific to projects.
• Arrange project requirements and ensure effective distribution and implementation of information.
• Participate in medical writing teams and provide progress updates to lead medical writers.
• Edit documents for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style.
• Conduct quality reviews to guarantee document accuracy.
• Contribute to the development of process improvement tools and internal policies and procedures.
• Manage assigned projects in accordance with standard operating procedures and client expectations, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
• Compile medical writing deliverables as necessary.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, EU, and other relevant guidelines and industry standards.
• Proficient in applying the AMA Manual of Style and custom style guidelines.
• Familiarity with medical writing internal checklists and best practices.
• Capability to perform precise copyediting and quality review.
• Ability to provide technical support and editorial guidance.
• Experience in leading complex and/or large medical writing projects.
• Skill in monitoring project timelines and budgets.
• Competence in training and mentoring medical editing and writing staff.
• Proficiency in managing projects according to standard operating procedures and client standards.
• Equivalent experience, skills, and/or education will also be taken into account.
