
Principal Technologist β AI and Data Center Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take charge of the technical architecture for DriveNets' most intricate and high-value client projects involving AI/HPC GPU fabric design and extensive data center network infrastructure.
β’ Collaborate with Sales and Solutions Architects from the initial discovery phase through to deal finalization.
β’ Spearhead proof-of-concept design and execution, which includes establishing success criteria, benchmarking plans, and communicating results.
β’ Interact with engineering leads, network architects, and executive stakeholders at hyperscalers, NeoClouds, and large enterprises.
β’ Gather insights from customer engagements and convert them into actionable requirements for Product Management and Engineering.
β’ Develop and disseminate architecture playbooks, reference designs, and best practices.
β’ Guide and mentor Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers.
β’ Represent DriveNets at industry events, as well as author white papers and technical blogs.
β’ Act as a senior technical authority and thought leader in complex pre-sales processes for AI networking and data center infrastructure.
β’ Over 12 years of experience in data center networking architecture and design.
β’ A minimum of 3 years dedicated to AI/HPC infrastructure or hyperscale environments.
β’ Significant hands-on experience with large-scale switching and routing technologies, including BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, QoS, PFC, ECN, NETCONF, YANG, and REST APIs.
β’ Demonstrated senior pre-sales, solutions architecture, or system architecture experience influencing large, complex deals involving VP and C-level stakeholders.
β’ Familiarity with x86 virtualization technologies, including DPDK, SR-IOV, and SmartNICs/DPUs.
β’ Proven experience leading technical responses to RFPs/RFQs and managing solution architecture documentation comprehensively.
β’ Proficiency in Python, APIs, and JSON for network operations and solution integration.
β’ Outstanding communication and presentation capabilities.
β’ Willingness to travel approximately 20% both domestically and internationally.
β’ BS/MS/PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or another Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
β’ Preferred qualifications include: RoCEv2, InfiniBand, GPU, NIC, DPU, NCCL/RCCL, NVLink, UALink, Enhanced Ethernet, UEC, Slurm, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, gNMI, OTLP, hyperscale data center operations, and CCIE/JNCIE or equivalent.
