Principal Technical Trainer, Content Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and execution of impactful technical education for both customers and partners.

• Provide instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training sessions.

• Conduct instruction based on personas, use cases, and workflows tailored for technical and global audiences.

• Assist learners in navigating platform tasks, troubleshooting, and understanding best practices.

• Develop, construct, and sustain comprehensive technical learning content across both digital and live formats.

• Transform inputs from product, subject matter experts, and releases into scalable learning experiences.

• Produce materials for instructors, resources for learners, modular content, microlearning, and delta training.

• Design and maintain practical labs focusing on repetitive workflows, critical failure points, and real-world scenarios.

• Create assessments, scenario-based knowledge evaluations, and applied learning activities.

• Assess product modifications and update training materials within designated release timelines.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of learning and continually enhance content utilizing feedback, delivery insights, and support trends.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Support, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and educational stakeholders.

• Leverage AI tools to expedite content creation.

• Articulate requirements, monitor dependencies, manage simultaneous priorities, and ensure timely delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in technical training, instructional design, or course development within SaaS or enterprise software settings.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering instructor-led training and creating complete course content for external audiences.

• Experience in developing customer-facing education, not solely internal training.

• Capability to translate intricate product features into clear, actionable learning experiences.

• Proficiency in creating hands-on labs and training based on workflows.

• Experience in designing assessments aligned with learning objectives and outcomes.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee timelines and dependencies.

• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

• Aptitude to work in high-volume, release-driven environments.

• Experience in enabling SaaS customers or partners.

• Background in supporting certification programs and structured learning paths.

• Familiarity with agile and rapid content development techniques.

• Experience in identifying microlearning opportunities from learner behavior and support insights.

• Background in contributing to scalable, global education initiatives.

• Experience mentoring others and influencing the quality and standards of content.
