Principal Technical Program Manager, Developer Productivity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage initiatives within Reddit's Developer Productivity and AI portfolio.

• Collaborate with leaders in Developer Productivity and Infrastructure to convert strategy into actionable programs.

• Establish and guide the operational framework for AI-driven developer productivity.

• Foster alignment across the organization, bringing together teams with varying objectives.

• Promote the social and cultural transformation necessary for the successful implementation of AI-assisted development throughout the company.

• Create communication and enablement strategies to engage both engineers and leaders in the process.

• Develop metrics systems to differentiate genuine productivity from superficial metrics.

• Oversee AI governance and adoption, ensuring adherence to security, cost management, privacy, compliance, and operational safety standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 14+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering, infrastructure, developer tools, platform engineering, AI tooling, or similar technical fields.

• Experience leading multi-year, multi-organizational technical programs that have executive visibility and uncertain ownership.

• Strong expertise in developer productivity systems, including CI/CD, code review, testing, deployment, observability, developer environments, and AI-assisted development workflows.

• Knowledge of AI and LLM-enabled software development that goes beyond individual productivity.

• Data-driven mindset, with a critical approach to superficial metrics.

• Excellent cross-functional collaborator and communicator.

• Proven record of driving significant organizational change, not merely executing programs.

• Results-oriented, focused on delivering outcomes rather than merely reporting status or engaging in process theater.

• Practical and iterative in approach to introducing structure.
