This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Agility Robotics is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager with a strong background in developing and launching V1 Products.
• Collaborate across the organization with a diverse engineering, operations, commercial, and product teams to create intricate robotics hardware integrated with software for comprehensive solutions.
• Address challenging and innovative situations daily, solving problems that have not been addressed at scale previously.
• Align various cross-functional workstreams to provide a holistic program-level perspective.
• Lead discussions at senior leadership levels, guiding the conversation towards convergence.
• Navigate complex cross-functional trade-offs to balance program objectives concerning performance, cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Oversee the development of intricate hardware and software systems along with operational processes to bring new products to market.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess scope and design modifications by balancing short-term enhancements with long-term strategies.
• Foster and sustain effective working relationships across multiple organizations and functions.
• Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching, and development to sponsors, stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement in project reporting metrics, objectives and key results (OKRs), and milestones.
• Over 15 years of direct, hands-on experience in a cross-functional Technical Program Management role focused on implementing complex integrated hardware/software products in the automotive, robotics, consumer electronics, or aerospace sectors.
• More than 8 years of direct, hands-on experience as a systems, hardware, and/or software engineer dealing with complex integrated hardware and software systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Strong experience in hardware and software process development and implementation, including familiarity with both waterfall and Agile methodologies, and bridging the two.
• Experience in developing or working on comprehensive robotics or automotive systems.
• Proven expertise in metrics, data analysis, project forecasting, and scheduling.
• Experience in projecting and managing the financial and operational impacts of projects.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant engineering environments, terminology, practices, language, and products, with sufficient knowledge in robotics or similar development from concept to commercialization. Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability and track record of prioritizing and managing multiple projects and project workstreams concurrently.
• Regularly applies process improvement skills throughout all efforts and projects, ensuring timely project completions.
• Working knowledge of identifying and managing through complex regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for excellence, capable of thriving in fast-paced environments.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional team members to achieve ambitious project timelines while effectively escalating risks and proposing mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated enterprise-level insight across engineering, product, commercial, operations, and finance, with sound judgment regarding cross-functional trade-offs and downstream effects on program execution and product delivery.
