Principal Systems Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the comprehensive architecture for the platforms that facilitate our go-to-market strategy — Salesforce, Tray.io, Outreach, Slack, ZoomInfo, AWS Connect, and the integration framework that links them to Snowflake, our product stack, and our engineering systems.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Product, and Engineering to transform ambiguous business challenges into robust, metadata-driven systems that can scale more efficiently than headcount.

• Design the middleware framework that connects Salesforce to Outreach, ZoomInfo, Snowflake, Customer.io, AWS Connect, NetSuite, and numerous GTM tools.

• Act as the technical liaison between Business Systems and Engineering.

• Develop Slack as the operational interface for GTM — incorporating automated pulse reports, deal alerts, approval workflows, case routing notifications, and incident response.

• Oversee the systems aspect of Engine's AI initiatives — including AgentForce design patterns, prompt and data grounding strategies, MCP server architecture, and the orchestration patterns that enable agents to interact safely with Salesforce, Snowflake, and product data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience architecting Salesforce at scale — including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Flow, Apex, LWC, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud.

• In-depth, hands-on experience with Tray.io (or a similar platform: Workato, Mulesoft, n8n) — focusing on workflow design patterns, error handling, callable workflows, and high-volume orchestration involving millions of records.

• Practical experience with Outreach architecture — including triggers, sequences, plugins, ZoomInfo enrichment, and Salesforce synchronization.

• Strong familiarity with Slack as a platform — encompassing Block Kit, slash commands, event subscriptions, and Slack-native workflow design.

• Demonstrated experience in integrating GTM systems with data warehouses (Snowflake), event streams (Kafka, webhooks), and product systems — utilizing REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven architecture, and idempotent design.
